Working with the ICC, to promote the Cricket World Cup 2019 we came up with an idea called ‘Take Part In Giant Art’. The idea included creating a giant cricketer which could be painted by the public as part of a 4 day event in Bristol. The public were invited to take their turn and paint a section of the cricketer – when complete the build displayed the 10 flags of the countries taking part.
Local graffiti artist ‘Silent Hobo’ designed and painted live murals which were then displayed on the plinth of the Cricketer. We also created ‘A Giant Catch’ which was a supersized hand and cricket ball which we installed in columns of the City Hall in Nottingham for the Fan zone.
